I have only been to the London twice.

The first time, a taxi driver yell at me to get off the road.

Years later, i went back to London on a job assignment. This time, I got mugged. Some bloody thugs mugged me with a pistol.

That is very bad for tourism. It gave me a very bad impression of UK.

It is just your bad luck that you had such experiences,otherwise London is probably the best place to visit and Britishers are supposed to be very gentle.

Yeah dude. Even i agree that the britishers are more polite compared to people from other places. I do not find london to be any different from the town area of mumbai. I visited southhall and it looked like a mini mumbai, only it was cleaner and less crowded. Felt like I had been transported back to my home town . You might been having a one off experience as I never had any problem moving around the place.

Probably not a good idea to stand in the middle of the road. I guess the taxi driver could have run you down instead of yelling at you

Wow, I wouldn't be happy being mugged with a gun either. I hope that never happens to me, the thought alone is too scary.

I'm glad that you're safe, and I can understand that you may feel resentment towards the UK, but just know that was one bad person out of the thousands of good people that live there.

I think you are just unlucky. Maybe because they know you are new there and take opportunity over you. Anyway, I have not heard such problems from my colleague who did visit London several times before.

Dont just because of one taxi driver than you make conclusion that all the people there like that. For me UK is one of the best place to travel. Maybe you just unlucky as per what superbike said.
