anyone here been to jakarta before? is it a nice city? i want to go there. any advice for me?

No I have not been there before but i have a lot of friends who are from there. be careful though when you do travel to indonesia.
its not the safest country in the world.

ya but if u just went to the town of jakarta i would says it quite safe but we can't thought that even, a place that like a heaven for foreigner which is Bali also had a booming..

Group tour is a good suggestion for visiting Jakarta. Unless you know how to handle those "direct seller". There is a lot of "direct seller" there. Go by group on tour bus is safe idea.
