If you are into wildlife conservation then you should probably head to Velas which is known for conservation of the world famous Olive Ridley Turtles.
Over here the hatchlings are released into the sea annually and is a treat to the eyes.
Velas is a tiny place situated on the western coast of India near the town of Ratnagiri in Konkan Maharashtra.
You can take a bus from Ratnagiri.
The turtle are released during the month of Feb-March.
Accomadation is a bit difficult but you do have MTDC resorts.
