This is one place which is always on the itenary of history students and archeologists.
Built by Buddhist monks many centuries ago, this place is a world heritage site.
Ajanta caves are famous for the cave paintings which are still present.
Hiring a guide is always preferrable, who will tell you the minute details of both these sites.
These places are approachable from Aurangabad which is well connected to the rest of the country.
You can also visit the Daulatabad fort enroute Ellora caves.
