This is a comprehensive list of birding spots in Mumbai.
Sanjay Gandhi NP.
The entrance lies on the Western Express Highway at Borivali.
Every Tom, Dick and Harry knows about this place.
Morning time is advised.
Gorai-Charkop
This is a marshy area full of mangroves.
Aarey Milk Colony
An extension of the National Park.
Powai lake- IIT Campus
If you are lucky, you can even spot a croc.
Mahim Nature Park
Built on a dumping ground, now rich in bio-diversity. Go to Dharavi near Bandra-Sion. A cab is preferable.
Mulund Mudflats
Loacted on the Eastern Express Highway, this a small wetland.
Sewri Mudflats
A real treat this place is. You will find Pink Flamingoes in hordes.
Get down at Sewri Railway Station located on the Harbour line of Central Railway. Go to the eastern side and ask the cabbie to take you to either the Jetty or Colgate Factory. Check the tide timings though.
Navy Nagar, Colaba
A very green area.
