I have always loved the idea of going to Japan. Is it really as expensive as I hear? How are the people there, do they like tourists, especially those in the countryside? I always imagine it to be a really peaceful and calming place. Has anyone stayed outside of the major cities in the countryside and would this be a cheaper and more enjoyable option? I would appreciate any tips on travelling within Japan.
