Last year I headed on a trip around Europe. I was in Munich, Germany for the Oktoberfest, which is a 14 day beer festival slap bang in the centre of the city.

It was brilliant! Completely unlike anything before, with dancing, great food and of course plenty of beer, I would completely reccommend anybody go to the Oktoberfest, just remember to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and not try to keep pace with us brits Wink, and you should be fine.

Have you ever been to the Oktoberfest?
You mean the Brits drink more than the Germans? Beer
Hi there rhyswynne, the beer festival sounds great. I'll be travelling in Europe soon and hope to catch it. I read that it is difficult to get accommodation at that time? Is this true. Where did you stay? Is Munich itself a nice city to stay in? Maybe there are other posters who have been to the beer festival in Munich also that have any tips.
That sounds interesting but wouldn't that be a little rough especially I was afraid there could be drunken person to deal with which might not be a pleasant experience. Maybe your thoughts here can ally my fear and prove that it's not bad somehow.
