I feel that the most important factor is the weather conditions of the place you are going to visit. If one makes a trip at the wrong time of the year, the trip becomes quite a burden.
You are right but it depends where you go I would say don't go to close to the equator or to close to the north pole stay in middle like central USA level!
Yes, I believe weather conditions, and also whether or not you like to explore or lay around.

If you like exploring, a beach would probably bore you. If you like laying around, a trek up a mountain would really seem like work and not a vacation.
I think the accommodations are most imortant. When I travel, it's super important that I have a comfortable and clean place to stay. I like a little luxury when I'm traveling!
Yes I would say accomodation also. Obviously you are aren't going to go on a mountain climbing vacation unless that is your thing Tongue

Accomodation within easy reach of your planned day trips would be beneficial.
The most important aspect would be the company that you have and time management.
Planning a trip is always advisble but then making spotaneous decisons does give a thrill.
weather conditions + the place you wish to stay should also be good.
